Annual Kamview Jackrabbit Sprints and Games another success!

    April 18, 2016

On February 27th Kamview Jackrabbit Ski League in Thunder Bay hosted their annual Sprints and Games.  150 kids registered for the event.  This was the first year that is was at the full capacity.  The event grows each year and this year we had many kids that had never been on skis before.

The weather was great with it being -5 degrees.  With the community support we were able to have this event free of charge and each participant went away with a medal, chocolate bar and some other type of item from either Cross Country Canada or other ski items from local sponsors.

The BBQ was another hit and all the kids loves having a burger and hot chocolate when they were done.  We even had a bonfire going and the kids could roast marshmallows.  All ages of participants took part in the costume parade and cheered everyone on!!!  It is a great community event for skiing!!!!
