Road to Val di Fiemme 2013, and beyond!

In a little more than 18 months, Val di Fiemme and the Trentino region will be hosting the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2013, the third FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Val di Fiemme after the previous editions in 1991 and 2003. The official countdown numbers exactly 566 days today.

Final countdown for New Zealand Winter Games

In just ten days, the 100% Pure New Zealand Winter Games will be getting underway. The biggest event of the Southern hemisphere winter season takes place from 12th-28th August 2011 featuring 22 snow and ice sports over 38 events and involving 1,000 elite athletes from 50 nations. The LG Snowboard FIS World Cup will also open season there with the ladies' and men's halfpipe competitions set for 27th-28th August.
