FIS Junior Invitational Race

Cross Country Canada, in cooperation with Corporation Course de Ski de Fond Quebec and its affiliated clubs Skibec Nordic and Mont-Sainte-Anne Nordic Club, as well as the Quebec Winter Events Corporation and event organizer Gestev, will co-host the FIS Junior Invitational “Rising Stars” Race on Saturday, March 23, 2019, as part of the FIS Cross-Country World Cup Finals being held March 22–24 in Quebec City.

This unique event featuring the top North American Junior athletes and selected European skiers will be held on the FIS World Cup Finals race course.

The 10 km, mass start (classic style) race will take place immediately after the World Cup mass start (classic style) race on Saturday. The Junior athletes will also have a chance to train alongside local favorite Alex Harvey and other World Cup athletes on the historic Plains of Abraham venue in downtown Quebec City.

All Junior athletes (YOB 1999 - 2003) with a FIS License and FIS points (FIS points as per 7th FIS list – March 3, 2019) are invited to participate.
