Background

National Ski Team Background:
Since taking cross-country skiing a little more serious at the age of 15, Cendrine has quickly become one of Canada’s most promising young Nordic athletes after completing her first four years on the national senior squad. In just one year on the national junior team, Cendrine represented Canada at the 2013 Junior World Ski Championships. She has continued to make great strides on the Senior National Team where she was part of a historic result for the Canadian women at the 2017 World Championships where they finished 10th in the 4x6km relay, and represented Canada at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games.

Cross-Country Skiing Background:
Cendrine, along with her brother and sisters, were given the passion to cross-country ski from their mother when they were young children. Weekends were always spent having fun on the Nordic trails on their own with less than stellar equipment. Cendrine got a little more serious with the sport when she was 15, and her physical education teacher suggested she try to qualify for the Quebec Winter Games. Cendrine did qualify, and finished seventh in the classic-ski race, which made her realize she had potential. Her mother registered Cendrine in a club and she has been rapidly developing through the Canadian program over the last four years.

Personal:
When Cendrine is not skiing, she is usually studying. She is currently studying physical education courses at university with the goal of becoming a phys ed teacher.
