It is stated in CCC's vision that... “It takes a ski community to raise an Olympic medallist”. This suggests that one of the keys to being a successful sport is having a large talent pool from which gifted athletes can naturally emerge. In order to help our talent pool grow, CCC recognizes that it must support the entire spectrum of the ski community, where talent already runs deep and varying levels of commitment to the sport exist. One way that CCC aims to achieve this is by providing seamless ski programming from the grass-roots level up to the NST level. Through community-based, well-rounded, viable programs, CCC aspires to recruit and retain children and youth, adults and seniors, beginner skiers and novice racers, master competitors and junior-senior athletes, ablebodied and disabled citizens alike to the community of cross-country skiing!
