The facilities hosting these events must be well maintained and kept up-to-date with designs that meet the changing needs of the sport of cross country skiing. Cross country skiing has many unique challenges for event organizers and by sharing ideas and information it is hoped that always the best possible solution can be obtained. A strategy is in place to run all FIS sanctioned events on FIS homologated courses as required by FIS.
