Nordic-combined is a sport that combines xc skiing and ski-jumping. It has been
an Olympic sport since the very first Winter Olympics in 1924.

The program will run from December 2, 2017 to March 3, 2018 for children aged 8 to 12 years.

    Practices: Thursdays: 5:30-7:00pm and Saturdays:10:00-12:30.
Cost: $50 for the whole season.

Program description: combination of 2 distinct sports creates the opportunity for great diversity in training sessions for young athletes.

    Sessions include:

    1) Dryland training - games to develop strength, agility, coordination, ski jumping techniques.
    2) XC skiing - technique development, endurance
    3) Ski jumping (skis are provided) - playing on skis, and development of basic jumping technique.

This will be taught on a small jump to develop the athletes’ confidence.

A typical session can be a mix of xc skiing and dryland training/xc skiing and ski jumping
