On the men's side there was a large Canadian contingent on the course, led by the veteran racer Devon Kershaw, who was hampered by asthma issues at Pyeongchang.

Devon was the top Canadian on the results list with a 25th place finish, his 2nd best of the season, behind a 19th at Lillehammer in December. It was also one place better than his 50k result in Pyeongchang.

Graeme Killick finished 39th, with Julien Locke 69th and Andy Shields 70th. Alex Harvey didn't race due to illness.

The race was won by Alexey Poltoranin of Kazakhstan, with the local favourite Finland's Iivo Niskanen in 3rd.  Johannes Klaebo, the Norwegian early-season sensation, settling for 7th.
