It was a warmer day at Highlands Nordic today, as the interval-start, classic races got underway.

In the Senior Women's 10k race, Nakkertok's Zoë Williams came through with her 2nd NorAm win in a row, 37 seconds ahead of Big Thunder's Mia Serratore. Chelsea Nordiq's Laura Leclair was 40 seconds later in 3rd.

For the junior's the first 2 were Nakkertok skiers, Tove Halvorsen in 1st and Zoë's sister Bronwyn 2nd. 3rd place went to Liliane Gagnon of Skibec, with the 3 juniors 7th, 8th and 9th in the open category.

Skibec's Alexis Dumas was the men's winner by 16 seconds, primarily based on a strong 2nd lap. Lappe's Andy Shields was 2nd followed by another Skibec skier, Phil Boucher.

For the juniors Pierre Grall-Johnson of Nakkertok added to yesterday's sprint win, with a classic distance victory, ahead of  Olivier Léveillé of Orford and Nakkertok's John Lindfors.
      Results

On the men's side tomorrow's pursuit skate race will be quite interesting, with Alexis Dumas having a 16 second lead over Andy Shields, and a pack of skiers another 15 seconds or so farther back. In the women's race,  Zoë Williams has a pretty commanding lead of 37 seconds over 2nd place Mia Serratore. Laura Leclair and Annika Richardson start together another 40 seconds back, but look to make a move for at least silver. Weather could be a bit of  a factor with some "mixed precipitation" and rain scheduled for the morning and early afternoon.
