      Last week we said "there is a lot of racing in a lot of places over the next few days, and in some picturesque places to!", this weekend the words are also as applicable.

      1) Dec. 16,17 World Cup, Toblach, Italy

      This is the last race weekend before the Christmas break and the weekend features individual skate, distance races on Saturday and pursuit-start, classic races on Sunday.

      Devon and Alex will look to keep up their strong performances to date. The rest of the team will be looking for top 30, counting 4 per nation results to seal Olympic qualification, and to make a strong performance statement before possibly having to return to Canada and compete at the Haywood NorAm/Olympic trial races in Mont Ste. Anne in January.

      It's another weekend of racing and there are more Russian doping stories. Three more Russian athletes are under investigation  by the IOC...

      Race Schedules: Note there is on occasion some changes to race starts from original schedules, and TV programming may not be synchronized with the complete race. Check the organizer's website to verify timing and double check the time difference listed.

      The men's race is scheduled to be streamed on CBCsports, at 7:30 Eastern on Saturday. Check part way down the page on the right hand side of the link to the international, likely video only, feed.

      The races can generally be watched on the following website http://www.sportlemon.tv/ ensure you have proper computer security activated. Eurosport UK are generally providing live coverage in English which can often be streamed through the sportlemon.tv website. Note television doesn't necessarily cover the complete race live. Complete event coverage is usually available using the subscription based Eurosport player, however your computer's IP address must be based in Europe.

      2) Dec 16,17 Haywood NorAm, Rossland, B.C.

      The Haywood NorAm returns this weekend to Rossland B.C., but now missing many of the U.S. skiers that raced at Sovereign, as part of the SuperTour. This weekend is a mini-tour with the races getting underway on Friday with interval start classic races.

      3) Dec 9-17. Para-Nordic World Cup, Canmore, Alberta

      Canada's Para-nordic team is having some great results this week, at the World Cup in Canmore, Alberta. Mark Arendz, Brittany Hudak and Emily Young have all claimed medals, with more expected in the remaining races.
