    • Request for bids to host the 2015 Haywood NorAm World Jr/U23 Championships Trials

      The CCC Events Committee is requesting event bids to host the 2015 Haywood NorAm World Jr/U23 Championships Trials.

      Event Description:
      This is a FIS sanctioned NorAm event supported nationally by Haywood Securities and Buff Canada.  The current NorAm Technical Package located at http://bit.ly/1cyLtmd should be used as reference.  Please note that this document will be updated prior to the 2015 Competition Season to reflect best practices from the 2014 campaign.

      Competition Formats:
      The event will consist of 3 competition days between January 8 – 11, 2015 and will include:

      • Interval start free technique – 10/15 km Senior Category;   5/10 km Junior Category;
      • Sprint classic technique – Combined Qualification followed by Senior and Junior Heats
      • Skiathlon 15/30 km Senior category; 10/20 km Junior category

      The race order will be determined by CCC’s High Performance Committee.  Junior categories may be added in consultation with the CCC Events Committee.

      As this is a selection competition, the junior M/W and senior M/W sprint heats will be timed.

      Clubs interested in hosting the 2015 World Jr/U23 trials should send a Letter of Interest to Dave Dyer, CCC Events Director at ddyer@cccski.com by February 28, 2014.

      Bid Packages must be received in electronic form at the same address by March 28, 2014 and include:

      • Profile information of proposed Classic technique sprint course
      • Homologation details of each leg of the proposed pursuit courses to include profiles, stadium layout and course maps
      • Dimensions/map of stadium and other on site facilities including warm-up tracks, wax testing and wax facilities
      • Names of Race Chair, Chief of Competition and major Competition Officials
      • Recent hosting experience
      • Indication of commitment and time lines to secure FIS homologation if not already homologated as per CCC’s Homologation Guidelines at http://bit.ly/1gBtn3C
