The FIS Cross-Country World Cup calendar is designed to determine the best cross-country skiers in the World in both distance and sprint formats. The calendars are planned by the FIS Sub-Committee for World and Continental Cups Cross-Country in a close collaboration with the National Ski Associations five years in advance. A single season calendar is made up of individual, multi-stage, relay and team sprint competitions. Canada’s best overall showings were amazing 2nd place overall finishes in the 2005-2006 World Cup season by Beckie Scott and in the 2011-2012 World Cup season by Devon Kershaw.
