CCC is pleased to announce that the Haywood NorAm World Jr/World U23 Trials will be hosted by the Lake Superior Nordic Association at Lappe Nordic from January 14-17, 2016. Originally scheduled for the pre-Christmas time period, the selection event was changed as a result of a decision at the FIS level to schedule the World Jr/U23 Championships from Feb. 23-28 in Romania. Lappe Nordic had previously held the Trials in 2013 and 2011 and were hosts for the 2015 Haywood Ski Nationals last March.
"We are pleased CCC has the confidence in awarding the Trials to the Lake Superior Nordic Association," stated Werner Schwar, co-chair of the Organizing Committee. "We have our work cut out for us over the summer now."
CCC is also pleased to head back to Prince George, BC for the Haywood NorAm Western Canadian Championships. Site of the 2015 Canada Winter Games, the local organizing committee will be out in full force over the Feb 21-23 weekend.
