      April 15, 2013

Cross Country Canada regretfully announces that Eric Bailey has decided to resign from his position as Assistant Director of Coaching Development. While CCC is disappointed with losing a valuable employee we are pleased that Eric will stay within our broader family and remain engaged in the advancement of Canada’s HP system.

NDC Thunder Bay is excited to announce the hiring of Eric Bailey as Executive Director.  This signifies an important evolution in the professionalization and strengthening of the overall management of the NDC organization, and the team.  The focus will be implementation of strategic initiatives, management of coaching staff, and providing athlete support.

Deb Mayotte, the Chair of the NDC Board commented:  “The Board of Directors is thrilled to introduce Eric Bailey as our Executive Director.  Eric has extensive knowledge and experience in providing a successful program to develop elite cross country skiers. He will provide strong support to our coaching staff and will work with the Board to continue the growth of NDC-Thunder Bay as a centre of excellence for elite cross-country skiers.”

Eric will start this role on April 15, 2013, and stated: “I am really looking forward to beginning this new chapter at NDC-Thunder Bay.  I hope to bring strong leadership to this position and advance the organization with my passion for the sport, the team, and the community.”
